2017 Strategic Priorities

The Chamber’s 100-year history can be summed up as the activation, incubation and acceleration of transformational community programs and initiatives. These priorities will help establish the foundation for the Chamber’s future legacy:

Education Policy
Lead a dialogue with business, education and elected officials about important education policy issues, to impact the K-12 education funding formula and to focus on the region's workforce and skilled training.

Diversity and Inclusion
Convene business leaders and partners and build programs to enhance Wichita’s image as an inclusive community that values the many aspects of diversity.

Membership Engagement
Capitalize on our centennial legacy to effectively tell the Chamber’s story and engage members, young professionals and regional stakeholders on our common goals.

Quality of Life
Build on our 2016 dialogue with the business community to identify one or two transformational community projects to activate in the coming year.

Intentional Inclusion
Intentional Inclusion

“I’m passionate about providing more visibility and resources to the under-represented entrepreneurs in this community. I appreciate the Chamber’s support of the region’s entrepreneurs and its emphasis on intentional inclusion.”
