Small Business Services Small Business is Big Business Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and, not surprisingly, are the Wichita Metro Chamber's largest customer group. More than 80% of our members employ 100 or fewer people. The business needs of our small business owners and their employees are at the forefront of our programs and strategies. The Small Business Services arm of the Chamber is committed to providing opportunities and resources that will enable growth of our member companies. In the spring of this year, we held informal meetings with more than 125 of our members to listen to their needs and priorities relative to programs and services we offer. We appreciate the feedback and input we received. – it has been very helpful! We have analyzed the information you provided, have benchmarked small business programs at seven top Chambers across the country, and have designed new programming for 2010. We are currently sharing our findings and 2010 program plan with members, so look for this in Synergy and in a newsletter focused on small business, which will launch in October 2009. 2010 will be a year of testing to see if the new/enhance programs meet your needs. We will continue to ask for input and feedback and will modify services to ensure they add the value you desire. If you would like to add more input, please contact Phyllis Robertson at 268-1130. |
